Aberdeen native Richie Ramsay struggling with shoulder injury

Home hope Richie Ramsay will give himself as long as possible to prove his fitness for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, which gets under way on Thursday.

Richie Ramsay struggling with a shoulder injury
31-year-old Ramsay was force to withdraw after suffering a shoulder injury in the second round of the French Open last week, but it is a must for him to play in his national open at Royal Aberdeen. "If it was any other event I would be home by now," said Ramsay.

"There would be not even a question of not teeing up. I know that i have a slight home advantage and this is the week to really use it." he added. It is the biggest tournament for Scottish players outside of probably the Open so he will have no chance to miss it.
